Community
Our members always make an effort to give back to the community. We feel that it is important to help out others at every chance we get.
We were one of the first teams in our county to participate in the VEX IQ Challenge. Our successes have influenced many other schools in our county by opening more students to S.T.E.M and allowing more students to compete in the VEX IQ Challenge.
At the competition that our club hosted in December, we raised money from our sales for the Kevin Garcia Foundation's Toy Drive. We also collected toys for children to give for the holidays. Using the money we raised, we were able to buy bikes for people to enjoy over the holidays.
After going to the World Competition in 2017, we were recognized at the City of Pembroke Pines Commissioner's meeting. Teams 5081A and Team 5081E both received certificates of recogition from the Mayor of Pemberoke Pines on behalf of the city and its residents.
